I recently signed up with a cool new digi-scrap site called Digiridoo Scraps. They are just getting up off the ground, and have all kinds of awesome challenges in their forums. One of the challenges this month is called “Design Me This”, and the challenge is to create a couple of scrapbook papers to give away. One solid, and one patterned. I actually ended up making a huge pack of antique/aged styled papers, so maybe I will throw them into my shop later in the week. I decided to put three of them in my freebie pack though. Since May carries with it Mother’s Day, I wanted to make a soft desktop freebie to give away this month. Included you will find a free photo frame that you can add to the desktop. (Example pictured below)

I personally love the longer calendars.  I feel I can write on them easier and I don’t have to try to cram things into little boxes, so I went with the “notepad” look for this one. This desktop is 1024×768.

The little clip at the top was made using some elements from Booland Designs. I am part of her Creative Team, so be looking for some cool freebies made using things from her kits in the near future. (:

I decided to do something a bit different this month with the desktop calendar freebie. Instead of making the large squares starting at the beginning of the month, I made a dual calendar; half of January and half of February, and put them on a memo type pad. I thought it might be easier to keep track of appointments this way! I hope you enjoy it, and please leave a comment to let me know what you think.
